Fotki had a message on their Forum that they were changing servers, first week of January 2013. The message has dissapeared and it seems that quite a number of photos have dissapeared as well. I do hope it is a temporary problem and not the end of the site.
Reply from Fotki on the 7th of January 2013:
"Our apologies for the temporary disappearances. Indeed, just like the post was saying, they are happening because we're going to be moving our servers to a new location. During the move, the servers will be off-line and that unfortunately means that some of your photos will also be off-line. Don't panic! We'll bring them back as fast as we can and they are safe. Please excuse the temporary inconveniences while we're moving. We're doing our best to relocate as fast as we can but there are no specific dates we can promise. We hope it's not too much trouble and encourage you to shoot some new pictures in the meantime!"

Not sure whether the Fotki designers even bother to read the comments, but I added my comment anyway:
"When I view the homepage without logon I get a more detailed view than when I logon with my username. Then the heading "Welcome to Fotki - your simple, safe and fun photo-sharing world!" is a joke on its own. "Safe" meaning? One's photos are safe? ... no photos are still missing. It is safe to view the homepage photos without getting photos of naked people? ... no there are photos of naked people to be seen. "Fun" meaning? ... Sorry to say but Fotki hasn't been any fun since 9 June 2012!. "Simple" meaning? ... a description of the members (myself included!!!!) still spending time on their Fotki albums and hoping for the best? Could you please update the members on the current status of the site?"
