2008 - Restarting the Journey

So it's been 2 years since I started documenting my curly journey. I fell off for a year or so, but now Im back!

In 2007 my hair and I were finally on the same page! LOL! Unfortunately, based on constant negative comments from some dead weight who caused me much stress in 2007, I began flat ironing my hair on the regular. His opinion fed into my old way of thinking regarding my love/hate relationship with my curls. Funny how a persons opinion can truly mess with your head if you let it.

Anyways, all that heat and the stress from that relationship impacted my hair, and now Im in the midst of deciding whether I should just chop the damaged hair off.

Its about 6inches of damage I think. Im a bit excited but also seriously scared! Still battling the negative comments the dead weight slang, but Im really close to making that leap towards healthy curls again!

Here I go! On with the journey towards healthy loc's and curl love!
