Just a few & not too good photos of Marquee Deck, the Funnel, Aft Decks and Balblom Figurehead at night

Marquee Deck 11 consists of the Marquee Pool midships abaft the Marquee Bar, 2 jacuzzis, Balblom Figurehead & Saunas screened from the wind. Further aft & around the funnel are wide open deck spaces full of loungers & tables, open to the elements with a railing surround. Aft of the funnel there are to be some golf nets installed. I did note that this area did tend to collect a bit of soot from the funnel 13 - 18 Feb 2008

Aft on Lounge Deck 7. A nice sized pool filled with sea water, heated & chlorinated. Unfortunately it was too rough for use during our trip with the water sloshing about once filled. 2 Jacuzzis [2 more on Marquee Deck] filled with fresh water and heated to 30°. The Palms Café opens out to this pool [Feb 13 - 18 2008]

In, On & Around the After Decks of Balmoral. Every Cruise Ship should have a Fantail like this. Wherever you are, there are glorious views. Shade or Sun, your choice. In inclement weather sit in the Lido & look out. Lounge Deck 7 up to Marquee Deck 11 [Feb 13 - 18 2008]

Balmoral has a complete teak decked wrap around promenade on Lounge Deck 7. Unfortunately it is very narrow in places & no room for loungers even at the widest points. There are some nice nooks & crannies, 'look-out' points between the lifeboats. To aft is the Palms Café opeing out to the pool & jacuzzis.

The only areas one can get a view of the bow aboard Balmoral is from the Fitness Centre inbetween the treadmills & weights, or from the forward promenade, which is a very narrow. The night shots were taken at La Coruna and the promenade photos at Tenerife 14 - 18 February 2008

The figurehead from the Fred. Olsen & Co. 1948 Akers mek built fruiter BALBLOM is erected ahead of the midships pool on Marquee Deck aboard ms BALMORAL. The figurehead, by Per Palle Storm, was previously on Black Prince (ii)'s afterdecks.

A Traditional Folklore group entertained arriving passengers & gave each one a Bird of Paradise flower.
