A liferaft aboard class V passenger ferry Hotspur IV [Hythe Ferry] managed somehow to deploy and here she crosses Southampton Water [14:43] on her way from Hythe Pier to Empress Dock for it to be removed [& returned to the manufacturers for deflating/repacking]. Once back in order the final 4 shots at 16:47 show her returned to her normal service across the Water.

Saga Rose alongside berth 101 [City Cruise Terminal] at Southampton the day after a crew member died while in the ballast tanks. Another crew member was taken to hopital but later rejoined the ship. Investigations were underway which led to Boudicca being berthed at QEII Terminal.
