AD Mini Suite L106 - VENTURA Sept 2008
Sep 12, 2008

L106, port fwd Lido deck. A suite? Well it had Butler service. We booked this suite while Ventura was under construction and the 'amenities' of the suite disappeared during the period. The spa bath/whirlpool went out the door, the dressing area also flew and the separate shower was no more. The plus side [according to P&O] was that the cabin was larger [of course these things take up room] and the balcony bigger [yes it wrapped around more, but a pretty useless area]. P&O did offer us a different suite, but one of those along the side, overlooked from above - no thanks...
However this 'suite' balcony was also overlooked from the walkway above, and to make matters worse the main area of the balcony was in full view of the port bridge wing. Fine for us watching them, but not the other way around, and there was an exit from the bridge to the deck below our balcony - the officer smoking area :( this drifted up into the cabin if the doors were open. There is no forward view as the roof of the bridge is higher than the balcony. Tables and chairs need standing upon to see anything.
The bathroom door opened into the sleeping area and in a twin configuration you cannot get around the door, it virtually meets the bed. A suite? No, a standard cabin is far better, unless you want the butler 12 - 14 September 2008
