Bro, sis in law, Dawson and I went to Da Lake for the day. We had a blast. We drove around, hung out in a cove and relaxed for a bit, played on the tube. I got KO'd on the tube today......accident of course....just landed wrong. But due to quick thinking, I am still here. Just need to find some more mouthwash from Crystal's rescue breaths............ course....just landed wrong. But due to quick thinking, I am still here. Dad and I went up to the lake to play around for a bit. We had lunch, I bought some ski socks, then we went out on the lake. I skied twice....face planted twice. Lost one of my socks.....darn it! But we had a lot of fun and laughed a lot; mostly at me but oh well! These photos were taken by Dad and are on his page as well. we had a lot of fun and laughed a lot; mostly at me but oh well! Written by Robert Warden:
It finally had to happen with all the trips to Norfork Lake this summer plus being jinxed by starting the trip teasing my passengers "You know....I've always walked away from every wreck I've ever had" Tended to wake them up a bit.
Then to make karma even worse...we stopped on the other side of Ashflat for fuel and ice for the day at the lake and my passenger got back in the car saying that his total cost of the items he purchased totaled $6.66!
Coming home around 830 pm just two miles south of Salem, I was guilty of poaching a deer with our new 2008 Lincoln Town Car with 6551.4 miles on the odometer. I'll not say what speed we were going but the deer must have committed suicide seeing I know he could see how quickly we approached.
All I saw was the buck, still in velvet, at the right front end and I knew we were in for a collision just from the distant that he needed to cross without any luck at all. The deer took out our front cap of the car, buckled the hood, jammed up the driver's side door as well as ignited both front seat air bags.
The driver's side air bag ended up knocking my hand off the steering wheel as well as take my plastic watch band and shove it into my wrist causing a superficial abrasion with alot of blood. No one was injured in the accident other than the buck, which was hit so hard that it knocked what little horns off it's head and even one horn out of it's velvet wrap.
Other than the airbag injury, those things stink something fierce. I'm still smelling the acrid smoke from the igniter even after showering and trying to get all the clothing in to the wash. from every wreck I've ever had" Tended to wake them up a bit.

Up at the lake.....again. Met up with my cousin Brett, his girlfriend Kerri, and friend Jason. We all sat around and visited for a bit and then went tubing. Then went to Diamond Point and hooked up with a bunch of people from WR for a few minutes before leaving to come home. with a bunch of people from WR for a few minutes before leaving to come home. - photos: 45 (18 MB)
