{{7.5.09}} I retwist my Kinky Twists and also add some color to the front of my head to match the color that is at the nape of my neck.

{{7.18.09}} I've taken down my Kinky Twists. I probably could have gone one more week with them in but, I was missing my hair. I washed and DT with the Olive Oil Pak. ::sigh:: so soft. LOL

As you see, I got Kinky Twists May 12. They're a bit longer than i would have liked, but I can make it work. =)

We'll see how long these bad boys last.

{{{UPDATE: 6.9.09}}} I decided to take out the Kinky Twists. With all the sweating I do from dancing, my hair was constantly being rinsed and washed to cleanse it, causing my braids to loosen at the roots.


I wash and condition my hair then cut off about a 1/2 inch off my ends. I know this has set me back a bit, but I really needed it. I'm beginning to wish I never colored my hair. :(

After I trim my hair, I apply Kemi Oyl and Cantu Shea Butter to my still damp hair, then twist the hair.

{{6.15.09}} I take down my twists and do a deep condition with an Olive Oil Pak.

{{6.16.09}} I put in the Kinky Twists. Took me a looonnnng time due to the tv and internet distracting me. LOL
However, I think they came out pretty decent.

So, the beginning of 09 hasn't been very fruitful with hair styles. I'm still sticking with the twists and twistouts for the time being.
I'll also start an album with comparisons. But, I don't think I'll have much to show for it. :/

I am going to attempt to make these two months all about protective styling. And hope to have some great length comparison shots afterwards!

When I BC'd back in 2003 I only had 3 inches of hair.

Two friends and I decided to spend the day at Centennial Olympic Park...in 29 degree weather! But, we didn't let that deter us from enjoying the day with each other and everyone else at the park and sharing such a historical moment!

We felt like celebrities also! ha! We were interviewed three times and had several pics taken of us. Gad my hair was looking decent! lol
