01 2D Edge v Thornhil n Momentum

Jose Perez/Pat Masters. 2D Edge vs Jon Thornhill and Sid Momentum. After the video promo by the NOW announcing they would debut on Jan 27, these two teams had a good matchup. It was mainly technical, back and forth that saw Jose get a kind of roll up finisher on Jon Thornill. Solid work by all four men in this opener.

02 Handsome Johnny v Zach McGuire

Zach McGuire made his debut vs Handsome Johnny. Now, Johnny made cracks about Zach being deaf, which made the fans boo him even more. McGuire was a lot smaller, and pretty good too. But, in the end, despite several near misses, it was Johnny hitting a sit out powerbomb to get the win. Im not the biggest Johnny fan, but he is over well as a heel here, and could be a good addition as an NECW regular.

TJ Richter defended the TV title vs Kid Mikazi. A Stip was announced where the title would only change if Kid won w/in the first ten minutes. WHAT?????. Anyways, Scott Reed seconded Richter and this match was solid, but nothing great either. Richter ended up getting the pin w his feet on the ropes.

06 - Scott Reed v Billy King

Scott Reed won a very competetive match over Billy King of the Wild Boys. Mike Lynch and TJ Richter ended up fighting a ton on the floor, but Reed was able to get the win over King, in the actual match.. Good one.

07 8 man elimination match

Kris Frost, Eddie Edwards, DC Dillinger and John Walters vs Jason Blade, Brian Fury, Evan Siks, and Rick Fuller.. This one was long and really good. Not a five star, but at least a four. Here are the elmination order...

Dillinger over Fury w a big boot
Walters over Blade w a hold of the ropes
Fuller elim Walters w a chokeslam backbreaker on the knee
Triplelicious then came in, and atoning for being mistreated by Sabotage lately, he H Cubed Edwards, who then was chokeslammed backbreaker by Fuller also.
DC Dillinger then chased Trip away, out the side door and was counted out.
Finally, it was down to Frost vs Siks and Fuller. In the end, Fuller chokelsammed Frost and Evan and Fuller were the survivors.

08 CANADIAN SUPERSTARS V DOGS OF WAR

he Canadien Superstars w Brian Cairo, defending vs The Dogs of War (Matt and Kyle Storm) w Dave Padula. Former ECW ref Paul Richard was brought out as special ref. Well, lets just say, THIS MATCH WAS SICK AND AMAZING. They used the usual stuff, cookie sheets, barrells, crutches, ring bells, toilet brushes, even a K Mart shopping cart. But, it was a WILD WILD match right from the start. Padula and Cairo even battled at times, w Padula ending up throwing a fireball at Cairo. J Busta got opened up early, and Dave Cole looked bad too from a large crimson mask. This was simply a STIFF Battle. Part of the barrier was set up between the ring and the main barrier. Someone had to go onto it. A chain was then used too, but th eDogs hung tough. Dave Padula late in the match got a bag and gave it to the ref. LOADED W TACKS.
