No muss no fuss puff -
Here's a couple shots of my hair doing a routine that I think is great for low maintenance a puff. 1. Co wash with Suave Juicy Apple & Nature's Gate Hemp Nourishing 2. Detangle and Condition with Giovanni 50/50 and HE Hello Hydration 3. Apply a quarter size amount of Giovanni Direct leave-in to whole head focusing on ends. 4. Brush through cantu leave in in medium to large size sections with a vent brush.
It dries pretty soft with low frizz and definition. I like it cause it gives me a break from gel, it's easy and the results are good. However, Cantu builds up pretty fast so I can't do this too often. - Album was created 5 years 8 months ago and modified 5 years 8 months ago

Rake and Smooth!!! - Oct 23, 2007
-
Every time I've worn my hair out, I've always combed or brushed through my product in sections. This is very time consuming and usually causes me to be in the shower for a bout 45 minutes.
Last night I decided to try the rake and smooth method since I was pressed for time. So, after applying about a half dollar size of Gio DL to my entire head, I took huge sections of hair (approx. 6) and raked globs of HE SMU through the section to remove any tangles and distribute evenly and smoothed it with my fingers. Results were way better than I could have hoped for and I was only in the shower for about 20-25 minutes. After being a skeptic of the smooth method for so long, I can now say I'm a convert. - Album was created 5 years 7 months ago and modified 5 years 7 months ago

BS Method (aka HG method) -
LOL. I'm ridiculous. Okay, okay this method is my new HG. When I want awesome hair, this is what I do--and I want awesome hair all the time. BS stands for BRAID AND SMOOTH. Here are the steps to achieving it:
1. Detangle in about 10 sections with my rinse out conditioner (usually Generic Biolage Conditioning Balm or Tigi MM) and denman. (Ofcourse if your sections sizes may vary according to your hair)
2. Braid each section to keep it from retangling.
3. Rinse with hair still in braids.
4. Undo the section, rake through your leave-in of choice (mine is a combination of either SheaMoisture and Giovanni Direct or SheaMoisture and Suave Green Apple Conditioner. It depends on what styling product I'm using), rebraid section to allow product to absorb into hair, and repeat on remaining sections.
6. Unbraid section and apply styler (HE SMU or KCCC) in a downward smoothing motion. Not so much raking. Repeat until head is complete.
This sounds like it is a lengthy process, but it gets faster the more you do it. I really like this because the braiding encourages clumping, uniformity, less tangles, and reduces frizz. - Album was created 5 years 1 month ago and modified 5 years 1 month ago
