This is an image I created from a full-color photo of a peony taken at the Experimental Farms. herbaceous border.

I manipulated it (using Picasa software) by transforming the original colour image into a sepia-toned one. I then repeatedly shrpened, hazed, warmed, and reduced the saturation of the image until I achieved the Daguerre-like image. I have included the original image which I manipulated to achieve the final image.

Thses are a number of graphic images I have been creating. Some are still "in progress" and I will update as I go along.

With the exception of the "jellyfish photos", which are "fiddled" versions I made of photos that my sister Shirin took of jellyfish, this album contains photos of shells, coral, and other objects I have found on the beach (or beacheS, rather). Some are freshwater and others are the remains of ocean creatures.

I keep them all in a big blue glass bowl on the dining table.
