We kind of got held up in Riviere du Loups when Mom had a little accident on the ferry to St. Simeon.

Mom got out of the car and tripped over the bumper rail along the bulkhead, fell and smashed her face in the rail and broke a bone in her hand. The ferry staff would not let us continue without going to the hospital in Riviere du Loups. That meant spending the night in Riviere du Loups.

It was actually a very nice segue from our trip, though we did get a lot of horrified looks because of Mom's face! The next day, in Donacona, Quebec, the people in Tim Horton's really must have thought I was guilty of "elder abuse" from the loloks they were giving me!
