A day of firsts. As we left the main road, we encountered two young deer with their small velvety antlers standing eating lilac leaves by the side of the road. Unfazed, they kept eating and watching us as we sat and watched them. Later, a deer headed out across the lake. We watched for some time at it swam off across the widest part of the lake and behind an island before making landfall and heading into the bush.
Then there were the Monarch butterfly larvae. An amazing day! | | |
