John Brolin Profile -
I'm your typical middle aged model builder who built models as a kid and rediscovered this great hobby as an adult, while serving overseas in the USAF. Some of my fondest memories of my late father are of building models during the long, cold North Dakota winters. I found this model club by accident. Actually they found me at a model contest many years ago. I joined right away and have been a satisfied customer every since. I currently have the honor of being the President of this great club. Hope you enjoy this site and my albums. Thanks for looking! - Album was created 4 years 10 months ago and modified 3 years 6 months ago

My Z -
This is my 2nd mid-life crisis car! First one was a 1995 Z-28 Camaro. This 350Z is a blast! The color is "Interlagos Fire". A factory color changing paint. It goes from a beautiful gold to a deep burgundy to a nice purple. I go by "Nacho Z" on some boards. A name that comes from my license plate, (not shown in all pictures).
A special thank you to Gary Kulchock for taking the pictures you see here. - Album was created 4 years 10 months ago and modified 3 years 5 months ago

My Model Room -
Like many model builders I was relegated to the basement which was not the best situation. No heat in the winter, no AC in the summer and all of the dryer lint a man could ever want. I decided to build a room to enjoy my hobby in and to display all of my Dale Earnhardt things. Every inch of the room was built by me. Started with two block foundation walls and a concrete floor. The room's floor is raised and insulated. The walls were framed up and insulated. I have more outlets and circuits then I'll ever need. The ceiling is also insulated. I now have heat and AC and decent lighting. I think it turned out pretty good! Unfortunately I have already outgrown it model wise. I have to store some kits outside of the room. - Album was created 4 years 9 months ago and modified 3 years 6 months ago

1966 Buick Skylark -
This is the 2nd car I owned while in high school in 1982 & 1983. It truely was owned by a little old lady who drove it, once a week, to the grocery store that I worked at. I was always asking her if she would sell me this car and when her husband died she asked me if I was still interested in it. $500.00! I had the cash the next day. Of course it wasn't fixed up like you see it here. It was just a stock Buick when I got it but it was in beautiful shape. - Album was created 4 years 2 months ago and modified 3 years 5 months ago

Porsche 911 GT1 -
Here is the current kit I'm working on. It is the Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1. I've had it for quite a while and finally got started on it. IMHO it is one of the prettier paint schemes around. The decal sheet looks like it will do the real car justice. The instructions are laid out in 21 steps. There is a seperate decal placement sheet. There is one each, black, white, satin chrome and clear trees - Album was created 4 years 2 months ago and modified 10 months ago

2010 24 Hour Build - Porsche 956C -
This is the Revell of Germany Porsche 956C in Jagermiester livery. Kit # 07253. The kit went together very well. No major fit problems. In my kit the rear wing was not long enough. I had to add on to each end to make up the length. The only other fit problem I encountered were with the headlight covers. They took a bit of work to make them passable. IMHO this was a perfect 24 hour build canidate. The decals were thin and seemed to fold over on themselves more readily then any other decals I can recall. - Album was created 3 years 4 months ago and modified 3 years 4 months ago

Budweiser Clydesdales -
This was bought at a yard sale for $1.00 by a friend from work. He asked me to build it for him. I thought how hard could it be to put 8-2 piece horses together? It was a lot harder than you would think . Lots of filling and sanding. Lots of detail painting on the horses. 32 legs and hoofs. The paint on their manes. Spent a good bit of time trying to get the color and sheen of the horses right. Not sure I succeeded. All of the gold on the collars had to be painted too. All in all it was kinda fun due to it being different.
Pardon the pics. They are scans of the good old fashioned paper pictures, (remember those?). - Album was created 2 years 9 months ago and modified 2 years 9 months ago

AMT #88 CoT -
This was a quick build to get back into the swing of things. It is a pre-decorated snap kit. Did a little detail painting and added decals. The kit went together with no problems or fit issues. Would make a good kit for younger or inexperienced builders. - Album was created 2 years 7 months ago and modified 2 years 7 months ago
