Last relaxer was June 22, 2008. Normally I would know when I would do a Big Chop but for some reason I felt the need to get back to the "Real Me". For the winter I think I will ride with protective styles.

I have decided to rock different weaves for 6 months. I really want my hair to grow out and the only way to keep me from cutting it, is to keep my napps on lock down.

Well ladies so far it has been a crazy ride with my hair. I BC'd 3 times in my first year of being natural. I am still trying to find what works for my hair, being that it is so short, all I can do is focus on the health of it. As some of you know, I had a weave some months back and it caused damage to my hairline on the right side, so I have been nursing it back to health by massaging it w/ rosemary oil & peppermint oil mixed in jojoba oil. So far so good. I will keep you guys posted.

I can't say that the road was easy but it sure has been a learning experience. Within a year I did 3 BIG CHOPS and sometimes I wonder, just where my napps would be had I not cut them....that just leaves room to wonder what will happen to my crown and glory in the years to come. With the help of my Fotki and NP family, I was able to get through it all- and I just want to say, “Thanks!" To all who answered my questions, left comments, and most of all the ones that inspired me to stay encouraged. I can only hope I have been as good to you guys as you have been good to me.

My 'fro is on the grow, so I decided to give my napps a rest with a weave. Trust me ladies, I was scared to death of the color and the texture. I really didn't now how it would look on me. As of now, I plan to rock a weave for the summer months(if I don't miss my hair before then).

5/4/07- I missed my hair not by choice but by my hairline. I just happen to be checking the weave after a week and a half and noticed that my hairline was looking funny on the right side. Low and beholded my hairline had not escaped damage. I was so hurt and could blame no one but myself for going to a salon where I had never been. I am bouncing back and will keep you guys posted.

I BC'd ya'll, for the second time. It was either cut it all off or go back on crack..LMAO! Like I said in my first album, I am a woman of many looks...My hair just can't sit still! However, I plan to bring my new cut to a different light, so stay tuned;oD.

I am taking the 3 month twist challenge. I love to change my hair style once a week, plus my hair grows better when it is left alone.

This is my second time going natural. I was natural in 1999 but b/c hair styles were so limited and me being a woman of many looks, I decided to go back to the creamy crack! As the years went by I have had my hair in so many styles and in between the relaxers and braids I would be going back natural and all it would take is one look in a hair mag and I would be off to the salon. Finally I got tired of spending my Saturday's in a salon making my stylist rich...LMAO! So I wore mirc braids for 5 months and did the "Big Chop" on July 7, 2006. I am excited about my hair's future so I will add pictures to my album every month,so you may join me in my journey!
