Moisture DC

i've been procrastinating. lol!

i love this DC, it smells sooo delicious! it makes my hair soft, shiny and... dare i say more manageable lol! my coils come alive, and i just love the way my hair feels!

*depending on length/thickness of hair*

1-2 very ripe bananas
1/4-1/2cup coconut cream or milk(i prefer cream)
1-2tablespoon(s) honey
1-2tablespoon(s) EVOO

put in blender and puree till smoooth (you don't want banana lumps in you hair)
apply it hair in sections, really get it in there! massage your scalp while you at it! lol! cover with a bag/shower cap/saran wrap whatever your preference, then watch a movie, TV, read a book, heck do some house chores if you've got any. let it marinate for 2hrs+ rinse it out. your hair will thank you! its good for your scalp too!

*** add some drops of your fav Essential oil to power it Up!!***

Henna

on the morning i henna:

i always wash my hair, ACV rinse, then i do the dreaded DETANGLING in sections with loads and loads of conditioner, braid up, rinse, towel blot, take down each section, lightly seal with EVOO, comb with a WIDE tooth comb, and rebraid.
go about my day, maybe play some golf, then around 5-6pm, apply the henna to my hair, rinse out the next day around 12-1pm, so 19-20hrs later.
then DEEEP condition for 4hrs without heat with 1 banana or 1 avocado (sometimes 1/2 of each), 2 tablespoons of honey and EVOO and 1/4 cup of fresh coconut milk (blended together). rinse, moisturize, seal with unrefined Shea butter and air dry. phew!

curl defining, edges slicking, puff smoothing, twists holding Homemade Aloe Vera Gel

I've tried curl activators (too sticky), Fantasia IC with sparkle lites (too crunchy), so, i decided to make my own. it holds, moisturizes and does not FLAKE!!! oh and the honey is good too lol! ** adding vegetable glycerin gives it that extra UMPH!!**

refrigerate!! it last 10-12days before it starts to ferment!!!!!

protein DC

1 large egg, 1 (heaping) tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoons of EVOO, 1/4 cup of soy milk (usually i use coconut milk, but i was tooo lazy to make any, so i used soy milk).

whisked till foamy thick consistency, slathered it on my dry hair, left it open for 20mins, then covered with a grocery bag (I use a grocery bag because the elastic from the shower cap/conditioning cap pulls at my edges) for 4hours (OK, my hair LOVES protein). shampooed and conditioned as usual, and air dried.

hmmm i dunno if an egg, is mild or hard protein. i know the yoke is fat and cholesterol, and the white is protein.
