Hide your hair challenge
joined a BHM challenge! i will not show my true hair length! meaning no straight styles!
i hear that aloe stimulates growth. (Google "Aloe Vera research hair growth") Aloe Vera is known to balance out the PH and stimulate the production of enzymes on your scalp which helps stimulate hair growth.
how cool is that lol! i'm going to give it a try, and do an experiment :)
i will be making a fresh batch of aloe vera juice every 10days (it lasts 10-12days in the fridge before it starts to ferment!) and apply it to my scalp and massage it in every night. *i will keep it at room temp for about an hour before i use it, cus, if its cold my pores would just close up and it would not get absorbed*
as usual:
moisturize and seal every morning (Shea butter) and night (EVOO), **UPDATE!!! i have noticed that my hair stays moisturized longer, which is a plus! so i now moisturize and seal once a day. alternating between Shea butter and EVOO**
baggy 5-6 days a week (its DRY and HOT here in Senegal)
i'll co-wash 2xweek or more when needed.
DC every week, alternating between protein and moisture.
henna every 4 weeks
i'll do this till end of the challenge.
update: i trimmed my ends! i do it twice a year, but this time it was purely for esthetically "pleasing" reasons lol i love the way my curls look after a cut. nice an crisp!
