Yeah, I'm just going to name these albums based off the season. Even though I skipped a few early on. Passed the 2 year mark on April 14th. (Feel free to count the months for me. ) Time flies by, thats for sure!

I rinse daily, wash at least once a week. But due to the workouts and heat...and sweat, will most likely up it during the summer months to a few washes a week. Hence, I'm not very concerned with retwisting. I may do it once every other month to keep things from getting too meshed, but I consistantly finger comb and that seems to be working great.

Also starting to combine a few of the "runts" of the group. A couple have actually meshed fast at the roots.

Things learned?
Well, obviously the less products the best.
I wash mostly with a daily clarifying shampoo. Once a month would do a baking soda wash and an acv rinse. For moisture? Mostly water and castor oil.
Very basic products...and seemed to work great. :)

Well, here we are again. Another spotty update. New album. New photos (although sparse). New growth?

Alright, after a looong hiatus from Fotki, I decided to upload a few pics. I passed my year one mark on April 14th and was surprised by how much I enjoyed having locs over the year.

I've been quite carefree with my hair. Wash a couple times a week and oil my scalp usually. Retwist maybe once every other month or so. So I plan to experiment more with moisturizing my hair. Because of the hot summer days, I'll be washing more and don't want my hair bone dry.

Its been a while since i've updated. I've been blackmailed and everything to update. So here we go!

Month seven is here (october) which basically came from under my nose. I surely wasn't expecting time to move so fast, considering I basically skipped out on updating last month. A decent amount of progress occured I think. Its nice being able to wash my hair weekly (and really get into the scalp) while the locks still keep its form. Although there are about two in the back that like sprouting out into a fro. Darn them.
The result of my hair actually locking now allows me to do less and less retwisting, which I assume is great for the health of the roots.

Hair itself is growing. I'm still getting used to having hair on my ear. I occasionally swat at my ear like a maniac because I think something was crawling on it. Of course its just a lock hanging down.

So far, this experience has gone quite well. I'm feeling more like myself more than ever. I'm looking forward to what happens in the future! Oh, frizzies rule all.

Can't believe i'm 5 months in. That time flew by incredibly fast. My hair has been progressing. I don't really notice it until I look at old pics.
