so we were offered this volunteering opportunity with www.ja.org.
Sounded rather simple: go teach a class of 8-12 year olds for a day. things i learned
- i much rather speak in front of the room of adults than try to keep engaged a room of 5th graders
- i feel for the teachers. even with such lovely kids as we got to teach (very well behaved, bright and enthusiastic) it is not an easy job.
- when talking for 2 hours straight make sure you have throat drops.
- simple questions sometimes have no easy answers.
- i love my job. (who new? :))

My first ever baseball game... the time we learned that tires is way tooooo high.....

...well... Ankit, Paul, Malik, Richard, Igor' and I went skiing again...
Ankit and Paul have achieved new hights braving the blue slopes (hurray!), Malik perfected his skills with another lesson, Igor, Richard and I did black diamonds with moguls (hurray!) since apparently Hunter had a mogul bonanza (all slopes had those stupid things... grrr...)

well my camera took a little trip without me... they grow up so fast...

a bunch of working hard (or hardly working, of course) pips in desperate need of some booz, all-american munchies ;) and that all-NY hip atmosphere finally got together on the roof of Sushi Sambo

Hard at work, hard at play...

Minutes..
1. A group of highly skilled professional try to fix the intercom for the good first part of the meeting
2. After failing hopelessly at that extremely challenging task they decide to fool around with the cameras.
3. While fooling around with the cameras they reach new hights of poor focus or aim.
4. They also succeeded in engaging the workers of the two adjacent buildings in a lifely sign-language discussion.
