Είναι Ορχιδέα εδάφους ( Terrestrial ) και καλλιεργείται για τα όμορφα βελούδινα φύλλα της.
Τα λουλούδια της είναι μικρά, άσπρα με κίτρινες λεπτομέρειες και εμφανίζονται τους χειμερινούς μήνες.
Είναι εύκολο φυτό στην καλλιέργεια, θέλει υγρασία, καλή αποστράγγιση και ημισκιερές τοποθεσίες.
Ένα μείγμα χώματος για αυτό το φυτό μπορεί να περιέχει τύρφη και περλίτη.
