Our assignment was to head up to the Cloisters and shoot pics. The intention, clearly, was to see how different students document the same environment.
Figuring that most everyone would shoot wide-angle along the grounds, I broke out the macro lens and shot close up.

Our assignment was to shoot a portrait in one's environment, a shot that tells more of a story than a headshot against a blurred background.
I thought I famed the bartender shot pretty well, though it isn't technically the best. Nor is there a real engagement with the camera. The kitchen photo can be more accurately described as an environmental portrait, though I could have directed it to be more interesting.

Our assignment was to photograph a planned event, and I chose the Oscars viewing party at Soldier McGee. A planned shot of many engaged viewers never materialized, and my plan to shoot during Sean Penn's acceptance speech was marred by a fight in the bar. Thanks, losers!
Overall, I'm not thrill with this work, but we did win the Oscars pick-'em pool.

Our assignment was to shoot a photo that wasn't necessarily tied to a hard news story but rather a general feature shot that hinted at the day's goings-on or weather. The skating shot was at the South Street Seaport rink in New York, while the others are from the Gasparilla day parade in Tampa
