I first went to the Ridge in '69....too young to go into the pub, we sat outside and brushed a thousand flies from our food. I returned, many visits between, at the age of 32 with Dad and had my first drink there. (Diggers Rest) A great "leveler", the Ridge, as all have something in common....the drive to find "colour"....much like a photographer really :) My father and I cut opal for many years...he is 75 now and thinks of a dip in the bore baths often, I think. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Peter:)
