Gunneemooroo campground
Gunneemooroo is located in the southern side of the Warrumbungle National Park.
Getting there: From Coonabarabran travel along John Renshaw Parkway taking the turn towards Tooraweenah and then take the left hand turn onto Dooroombah Road which takes you into Gunneemooroo. If you are travelling from the south, turn off the Newell Highway at Tooraweenah and take the Tourist Drive 1 towards Coonabarabran – this will take you into the Warrumbungle National Park, but you will turn off onto Dooroombah Road (a right hand turn). Park your car at Gunneemooroo. A sealed road access from either direction to the Dooroombah Road which is unsealed and not maintained regularly, so while 2WD is OK in good weather a 4WD may be required for clearance and wet weather conditions.
Road access: Unsealed road/trail - 2WD vehicles.
Facilities: picnic tables, wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), non-flush toilets
Water supply: There is a spring water tap - it's spring-bore water and requires treatment.
Bookings: Campers must register their locations at the Warrumbungle National Park Visitor Centre.
