Wow! It's been about 12mths since the event and I've been browsing through different forums and there she is! Just great to see my bike shown through someone else's eyes. Thanks very much.
Bike riding in short pants. Obviously, this dude has never had to "step off" his bike. At least he has more regard for his head. Are helmets required downunder?
Yeah, a real nut case. This practise is big in Queensland where it's hot but an ambo was telling me once of all the guys he's scraped off the road, who were wearing shorts, tank tops and thongs - can you believe it ?!
I can believe it. I see it here all the time. Girls riding on the back wearing helmet, halter top, shorts and flip-flops. Imagine getting a road stone in the toe at highway speed. OUCH!
Yeah, it might be hot, but it's the full kit for me, I'm quite partial to my skin. I lost enough bark in the few bingles I had sliding down the road, and that's WITH jeans, boots, jacket etc. Yes, helmets are required down here. You can get a permit not to wear one for medical reasons, but I think that's the greatest misnomer out !! Anyway, I'm off to bed, good luck with your tooth.
You can't mistake the throaty-growl of these big Dukes. My cousin had a small one back in the 60s. Fast.....when it ran. Had really bad electrics on it. I think things in World Ducati have changed for the better since then.
Yeah that grown comes from the Conti extractors, like this bike has. They're illegal now, I had a pair on Contis on my Duke, and just LOVED that exhaust note.
