Trumpy at Mt Panorama 010412 001
Great shot af a magic bike Peter. I had a 125cc CZ at 15 (illegal), a 250 BSA single at 17, a beautiful Matchless 500 twin at 17 1/2 later traded it on a brand new Triumph Tiger 110 650cc twin. That model was the fastest new stock bike of any brand in Australia. Qld Police also rode them. I added front & rear crash bars (used them at Stones Corner Brisbane when car shot out of servo and I had  to lay  it down). Rode away, but sore. Put upswept handle bars like ' The Wild One movie. Leather panniers & aerial with fox tail on top, Lucas spotties on crash bar, name plate front mudguard 'Tannafax   Good for burns', big rear mudflap to enhance the exhaust music through towns with shops both sides (Toowoomba/Ipswich etc), headlight chrome hood. Loved the practical factory chrome rack on fuel tank to carry my overnite bag. Used to retard the spark (left hand lever) to make better music through towns even if we had less power. Loved that Trumpy.

Indian at Mt Panorama 010412 002
Hi Peter! I  like your classic bike photos, my dad had an Indian when I was very young and would take me for a ride occasionally, something I have never forgotten since my early childhood.  He also had a Matchless 500 single cylinder.
