Leaving the hose attached out in the front yard in winter, tells me that snow is probably not that common an occurrence ;-)
Here we have the outside taps protruding from the house, to keep the water pipes inside, so they won't freeze outside in the ground. The taps are also about 12 inches long, allowing the water to run out, and the innards stay warm inside, not freezing up.

You're right there Jan. Snow is an exciting occurrence for us because it is so rare. You guys have obviously got it all worked out by the sound of it!

This was going out to a prison to encourage the young believers. We used to go every six weeks to have a public meeting and weekly on the weekends for follow up. Most of the men were just the same as us, they had just made bad decisions. Some of the lifers were pretty hard, but they had the same hopes and dreams as us, and missed their families badly.
One man who responded was involved in a very famous murder in our country and was one of the "hard men" in the jail. His response made things easier for us.
