These flowers grow on a small flowering shrub. Beautiful white flowers shaped similar to a Morning Glory but much larger. Other varieties of this hang down and droop but this variety is very upright and showy.

Bright pink Azalea blossoms and buds from my bushes in spring.

There is some wonderful detail on these Black Eyed Susan. All but one were found growing wild and several just opened and have green striping to the petals.

Spring Bleeding Hearts from my garden. Several are taken with a black background slid behind them for impact, and several have a row of tiny water droplets down the stem. Please check the end of the album for the newest photos.

I've found these growing in a formal garden in the area. I love the woody type bud they emerge from and the spikiness to the flower. Very nice blurred background to some of the photos.

Chickory found growing wild in several locations. Delicate saw eded petals and a wonderful green blurred background. Some of my favorites.

Wonderful scented Iris, my favorite flower along with lilies. Delicate petals and the beards, I look for them throughout the area and plan to add more this spring. Look for the moisture drops and buds on one taken on a foggy day.

Assortment of lilies which I find in many different locations. From Day Lilies to wild Tiger Lilies each have wonderful long stamens and individual bright colors.

Tiny bells of scented Lily of the Valley. Wonderful little spring time surprises I find growing wild tucked around my property. I love bringing some in and scenting the rooms from just a few blooms during their short growing period. Additional Lily of the Valley combined with Lilac is in the Still Life album.

Scented spring blooming magnolia varieties, white to pink, saucer to star.

Fluffy hydrangea heads from the garden of my mother, early summer Lilac and a few others than I haven't expanded on yet.

Twisting, climbing Morning Glory from my garden. I think the buds are so interesting with the wrapped spirals and bottom petals just starting to open.

Late summer and early fall chrysanthemums found in a local formal garden. Always hardy and bright with bunches of color.

Wonderful scented roses, large pink blossom taken almost in an abstract, and tiny delicate white blossoms with a slight pink taken from a friends garden. New in 2012 is a large selection of Heritage roses from a public garden in Alabama.

I found these wonderful flowers growing mid spring in a formal garden. Low growing and multi-flowering, they are beautiful star shaped flowers. Several are shot against a bed of low lavender flowers for an beautiful background.

Cheery late spring tulips to brighten the day. Nice and bright, growing in a formal garden setting. I captured some whites in a lovely fern background which set them off wonderfully.

Delicate tiny violets in a variety of colors, most from my mother's gardens.

Very delicate pink Musk Mallow that I found growing wild. These pink blossoms have the added detail of with raindrops from a light shower.

I really like Shooting Stars but seldom come across them. To complicate the matter I've returned to the same location on the approximate date to find no sign of them where there was a large patch the previous year.

While out driving I came across an awesome field of wildflowers. Such a wonderful sight I hated to leave. When we got out of the car the scent carried on the wind and it was like entering a florist of cut flowers. Some are shot against the green leaves and buds of other flowers and others I angled toward the wonderful blue sky of the day. Added in May are Jack In The Pulpit and Trillium found growing in the woods. More are added as I come across them while out hiking.

Vivid Zinnias from my mother's summer gardens. Nice details and colors, my favorite is a pink with little grasses blending in the background from the wind.
