A Tampa Filipina's annual tradition! This time we focus on the Philfest happiness that happened at the Association of Filipino Students (from USF) booth. Once again, we sold cotton candy-- and featured the fashion line of AKO and JONI DESIGNS

What more is there to say? Pyra graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences (Mass Communication). These are pictures of the after math and all those sappy family pictures that follow... and our celebratory lunch at La Teresita.

USF's Gawad Kalinga group held its first Thanksgiving potluck... at my place! Luckily it was a good-sized, non-rowdy group... and we hammered each other in board games while we got hammered on food.

I follow USF's Japanese Club to Orlando to attend the festival there. Although small in size, there was so many people! Besides the food and goody stalls, the main feature was all the Japanese cultural performances on the stage. Yeah!

Every first Tuesday of the month (I think?) USF's CAB organization hosts something fun near the student center. Featuring free food and gifts, November's Patio Tuesday had a beach theme. Cue the pizza, decorated cookies, money machine, and bull-riding competition.

USF's Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) presents "Heart of Vietnam." Although the attendance wasn't as big as I'd hoped for, the agenda was packed full with entertaining performances mingled with Vietnamese-inspired fashion.

OMG! It's the University of South Florida versus the ranked West Virginia football game! As a homegame-- GREAT turnout (despite USF losing the previous two games)... but they won this one!

As part of their weeklong celebration and philanthropy, the sisters of aKDPhi host a tea party which featured booths representing the different Asian organizations at USF and small performances. The highlight of the night was the ability to smack a plateful of whipped cream at the sister of your choice for a donation towards breast cancer research.

Journey to the East Banquet! (Oh, how I wished to have one of those excellent, big cameras.) Anyway, this entire event took over the entire USF Ballroom. Organized by Tony, there was free food, talent and cultural performances, and headlined by smooth singer Manny Garcia. Oh yea, and AKO (my design line) got it's first official appearance.
