This is the start of my third natural journey. I transistioned for 4 months before I BC'd. Was actually planning to do a long transition as with time number 2, but got up one weekend in January and decided it was time. Called my old hairdresser the next day, Monday, and made an appt for that Friday. So, on Jan. 30, 2009, I became completely natural for the 3rd time and here, being natural, is where I plan to stay.

Even though I've done this before (1994-1998, 1999-2003), it's still a journey with many ups and downs. And while I'm much stronger now than I was then, I know there will still be some tough moments. Anyway, thankful that there is so much more info and support available now than even six years ago.

Okay, I joined a hair growth challenge. For the first 2 weeks of it, something took over me and I decided to start experimenting big time with various product lines. My hair was about to kill me by the end of it. The first 5 pics were taken during this time and looking at them, I can tell my hair was under a bit of stress. So, back to old tried but true routines and products for now. Trying to keep it simple.

Decided to try to start a product review album. We'll see how this goes.

The second half of the calender year did not start off good hairwise. I think I had gotten bored with my hair because it didn't look like it was growing much and I was getting tired of the same 'ole style every single day. Even my accessories, headbands, clips, etc. weren't perking me up. I ended up being really lazy with my hair for a couple of weeks. Last week I seem to snap out of it and low and behold, I realized my hair was finally long enough to do something else besides a TWA.

My Nappiversry is Jan. 30th. I will have completed my first year of the year.

I've already made a few changes. As my hair as grown, I don't cowash nearly as much as I use to. It's cold here in the southeast and my hair takes forever to dry.
