Homemade BMW Windshield - Charging the buffing wheel

This is a quick pictorial on how to make a custom BMW wind screen for your R1100RS. I'm sure the technics I'm using could be used for any bike.

Charging the buffing wheel

Once the shield is cut out, you will need to do something about the rough edges. You can simply sand them with "Wet-Dry" black sandpaper in 200-600 grit or if you want a "factory" edge, you will want to buff the edge on a soft musslin wheel using a fine buffing compound. Don't stay in any spot too long or the lexan will melt. Keep it moving.
