My Natural Hair 2007-Present

12/31/09 Year-End UPDATE:
Watch Reniece's New Year's Eve Bun Drop Video

My hair is now 100% relaxer-free

Last Relaxer: September 2006
Hair Type 4a
Current Length: Past bra strap (stretched) Shoulder-length (unstretched)
Current Style: Bun
As of Dec 2009, I am 3 years and 3 months relaxer-free

*Currently wearing weaves while growing out hair
*I like sleek, polished looks so I will wear my hair straight 99% of the time and I'm not scared of the heat (for my hair)
*Transitioned for about 9 months before cutting most of the relaxed ends

1/1/10 QUICK NOTE: Yes, I primarily use the pressing comb when I press my hair. However, for this latest update, I used a flat-iron this time :o)
(Many of you have asked so I thought I'd add a little note)

Girl your hair is the biz. Can I ask you what method do you use to straighten your natural hair? I think eventually I will straighten but if you have any tips and what you use when you straighten please share.

now this is some bangin natural hair. how do you plan to KEEP it straight once when you are wearing it straight? That would be one of my issues with natural hair. I couldn't always keep moisture away with working out daily and rainy days. So I'd worry about how i could maintain a straight style. How do you?
