Disregard my last post becasue you answered my question with this post ************************ I absoutely love your hair and I was just wondering if this the longest length your hair has ever been or is it hereditary. ********************************************************* Thank you :)
Yes, this is the longest my hair has EVER been. It's not hereditary unfortunately -- I had to work at it. But it paid off :)
Hey girl, beautiful hair! Just wanted to know did you use Hair Formula 37 & Horsetail vitamins at the same time or did you use them separate? Do those really work? I am interested in getting those pills. And do you put vitapointe in your hair everyday? ******************************************************** Thank you. I used HF37 and Horsetail at different times. --About 4 months apart. They worked okay. I think the Horsetail worked the best. I put Vitapointe in my hair every 3 days or so. My hair doesn't need it everyday.
CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME TIPS HOW YOU GOT YOUR HAIR THAT LONG IF U CAN HERES MY E-MAIL LILTRINA750@SBCGLOBAL.NET ******************************************************* I shampoo my hair once weeky or bi-weekly. I trim as needed - most likely every 2 months or so. I get relaxers every 3 to 4 months when I'm wearing my own hair. When I wear weaves, I normally go about 5 to 7 months without a relaxer. I deep condition every 6 weeks or so. I put Vitapointe on my ends with at night, then I wrap my hair up into a bun, then I put a satin scarf on it. Most of the time I wear my hair up in a clip or in a ponytail/bun in the back.

I wanted to say your hair looks great!!! It's so shiny. Can you tell me what vitapointe you are referring to or what it looks likes. TIA *********************************************************** Thanks Tia. It's called Vitapointe by Clairol. You can find a picture of it in my "Satin Scarf Method" album.
Your hair looks so beautiful! I'm planning to try some of these products as well as the vitamins to help my hair look fuller and healthier. Why did you stop taking the vitamins? Will this effect your hair? *************************************** Thank you Mika. I stopped taking the vitamins because I took them for a total of 5 months, and my hair had significantly improved. I also started taking regular vitamins and I wanted to keep the pill intake to a minimum. I may start using them again some time this year once if I start wearing the sew-ins again-to give my hair a break.
I think I've become one of your followers!:) Simply gorgeous!!!
Couple of questions: when you began trimming your hair, you just did a little at a time? How long did you take hair vitamins for, and did you actually notice a difference with them aside from the hair products? Did you do anything with your everyday diet aside from the vitamins?
Thank you for sharing your experiences! ********************************************** Hi Coey, thanks for the comments. When I trimmed my hair, most of the time I'd trim off an inch or so. A trimmed TWO inches off a couple of times. I took the hair vitamins for a total of 5 months - 3 months with Horsetail and 2 months with HF37. I definitely noticed a difference with the Horsetail. My new growth was thicker and stronger and my hair hardly shed. I didn't really change my diet other than taking the vitamins.
Wow... I am soo amazed with the length and fullness of your hair... I am currently trying to grow my hair out as it is right now at my jaw line... maybe a little longer... my goal is to get to your length but I know it will take a while... could you E-mail so that I can ask you a few questions... could you give me a brief overall review of what you have done from the very beginning up until now... your hair looks great... hopefully I will get your length soon thanks,
I was just wondering if you could email me because I had a couple of questions that I hope you could answer for me.....I want to grow my hair out and your pictures really truly inspired me start taking better care of my hair!
i must say i love ur hair it its sooooo beautiful i wud love to know wats ur secret/ regimen and is ur ends colored? *********************** Thanks!
I don't really have a secret or anything. I just started taking better care of my hair :) Yes, my ends are lightened - that's because the color has grown out. But it used to be that color all over.
Current Regimen: I shampoo my hair once weeky or bi-weekly. I trim as needed - most likely every 2 months or so. I get relaxers every 3 to 4 months when I'm wearing my own hair. Wow! Your hair looks REALLY nice! What kind of weave did you use? I am a bridesmaid in a wedding coming up next month and our hairstyles are similar to yours (half part with the bottom part left wavy). Trouble is that I cant get a piece to look shiny without looking like doll hair. Please, I would really appreciate any advise you give. Thank you :)
***************************
Thanks for the compliment! However, this is ALL of my REAL HAIR. I have no tracks added in any of my hair growth pictures.
But you can still add shine to your weave hair by using shine sprays like IC Polish Shine Mist, Sassy Shine, or Proclaim Gloss spray. There are other shine products that you can use too. Also, if you're using synthetic hair, spraying shine gloss on it can make it look fake. Human hair takes shine sprays better in my opinion.

you use vitapointe. is that sold in the stores or do you get that in the salons? *********************************** Yes, Vitapointe is sold at Sally's or other beauty supply stores. It's not a salon-exclusive product.
Your looks really nice and healthy. I've been not treating my hair good at all. Your pictures are an inspiration. Thanks for putting them up well i think after seeing your pictures i'm going to start on a good hair regimen. How long did it take u to get your hair that long. ********************** Thanks Rosie! I'm truly glad that my pictures have inspired you and other people :)
It took about 2 years or so to get this length with the fullness that I wanted. It went by fast though! Start being good to your hair - and it will be good to you :)

your hair looks great. I've looked at your whole growth challenge album and have been inspired to try to grow out my hair the same way. In the past, I have been looking for ways to grow my hair out. I have tried microbraids, but the results were not exactly what I was looking for. Currently, I have braids and was trying to think of a way to give my hair a rest and still look nice. Now after looking at your album i want to do a similar hair growth challenge. I was wondering if you could give a guide or regimen to help me along the way. Possibly the best type of tracks, products, etc. I would really appreciate it. I am 19 and a black college student in a majority white college. So, beauty salons and good black hair products or advice is scarce. I would definite like to keep in contact for advice and support. If you have the time. Once again, your hair is BEAUTIFUL. :)

Your hair has a gorgeous sheen to it. What aftercare products did you use? Which relaxer do you use? I'm thinking about returning the chemical treatments when I return to the States. Girl, I might have to look you up. You've done a wonderful job with your hair. Thanks everso much for the public photo album.
kgb *************************************************** Thank you for the nice compliment :D Currently I use Vitapointe for moisture and shine. I just started using it and I love it. Vitapointe is what created the beautiful sheen in this picture. I combed it through my hair and nearly saturated my ends with it, then I wrapped my hair in a bun and put a satin scarf around it. When I took it down, that's what it looked like :)
I went to the salon to get my relaxer this time and Affirm was used and it's works well on my hair. When I relax my hair at home (very very rarely), I use Exclusives which also works great on my hair. And I've noticed that it does a good job on my clients.
Some of the products I use are: VitaTress Biotin shampoo/conditioner Therappee Shampoo Nexxus Humectress Conditioner Nexxus Emergencee treatment Silk Elements Motions CPR Treatment Vitapointe Wild Growth Oil BB Super Gro Porosity Control Conditioner Elasta QP Recovery Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Lotion **I alternate using these products
I've also used hair vitamins like Hair Formula 37, and GNC's Horsetail. They both worked good on my hair. I'm not currently using vitamins though.
