Hey I looove your bangs. I am currently thinking about getting a bang too. Is it hard to style your hair while wearing a bang, or are u just stuck wearing only one style all the time?

    ****

Thank you. Well, depending on how short you cut them, you'll have to wear most of your styles with it. Sometimes, I can just brush them to the side when they're long enough. It doesn't bother me.

Hi Reniece, do you usually relax your hair bone straight? If not, do you know the percentage of which you relax it?

    ************************

No, I don't relax it bone straight. I usually relax my hair to about 80% - 85%.

who curled your hair like that?
if i would like to get that style like that from a hairdresser... how would i tell them?

    *******************

I curled it myself. Use a marcel iron with a curling product of your choice and create loose spirals all over. Then lightly break the curls apart with your fingers and let the curls fall alongside the face. I don’t use spritz in my hair but spritz can be used for a tighter hold.

your hair is beautiful!!!I can't stop starring!:P can u please tell me what straighting cream and moisturizer you use?
    **********************

Thank you. I use Redken Heat Glide when curling or flatironing my hair. As of last night, I just started using BBD’s Flatiron lotion and Keala oil to straighten my hair. I LOVE it. I still use Vitapointe to moisturize my ends though.

Hi again, you're very pretty by the way with your gorgeous hair. Question, have you had long hair as a child or growing up? I know you started your hair care journey in 2001 because you stopped using glue but I'd like to know if you'd had long hair in the past or is this the longest/healthiest/thickest your hair has ever been?

    ***********************************************************
Aww thanks :o) I really didn't have very long hair as a child. Before my very first relaxer as a child, my hair was slightly longer than shoulder length. It was very healthy and full, but not as long as it is now. It's never been this long. So yes, this is the healthiest and thickest my hair has ever been.

Wow...I happened by this site by accident. Your hair is beautiful and healthy. What's your hair care regime..the products you use and how often?

    **********************************************************

Thank you. My regimen is rather simple: shampoo every week and a half, use curling iron only once a week, cover my hair up at night with a satin scarf. I usually use Nexxus shampoos and conditioners but I just started using Silk2 shampoo & conditioner; Longer & Stronger shampoo, MoiStar Conditioner. I love the way it makes my hair feel. I also now use the Keala oil by BBD products twice a week for my scalp. I use Vitapointe every 2 or 3 days for the ends of my hair (especially on the ends) – it keeps my hair nice and moisturized.

Reniece, when I looked at your album and several other ladies from LHCF, i was practically in tears. What you have done to your hair is so beautiful and amazing. I was taught at a young age that my hair would never grow past my shoulders, and it just makes me so happy to see black women like me with beautiful long hair. I'm so excited to know that it IS possible to have long hair. Thank you so much for posting your inspirational pictures.
    ***********************************************************
Thank you so much. Yes, it definitely IS possible. I appreciate the very nice comment I'm very flattered to be an inspiration :o)

wow, and thats your length?!!! what exactly do you attribute to your rapid hair growth? (i.e products, methods) this is amazing, you are a prime example that all black females aren't "bald-headed"!!
    ***********************************************************
Yes, it’s all mine! I mainly grew my hair out with properly maintained sewn-in weaves. Having my own hair braided underneath really helped my hair to rest without heat and other bad things I used to do to it. I continuously trimmed off the dead ends I had too. I used hair vitamins (Fingerprinted Horsetail, HF37) only for a short period of time during my growth challenge. And yes, it definitely is possible for us sisters to grow our hair long and pretty!
