Your hair is sooo beautiful. You have come such a long way, congratulations on your progress. Right now I am trying to grow my hair out to armpit length healthily and so far it has been healthier than it has ever been. I am stretching out my relaxer until May ( last one in Feb.) but I am afraid my efforts will amount to nothing because my stepmom says it is time to relax my hair because it is looking nappy. I don't want to go to the same stylist who applies relaxer from root to tip for forever, plops me under the dryer with no conditioner, then proceeds to rip through my hair with a blowdryer attachment then pressing it. Afterwards trimming off 2-3 inches at a time because " we need to get rid of these dead ends". That's what I do since I stretch 3 months without a relaxer. All I have to say is RUN from that stylist who applies your RETOUCH from root to tips. That's crazy. Don't be afraid to tell your stylist how you feel about your hair. If you don't, you're going to wish you had.....in this case.

I moisturize my ends with Vitapointe twice per week. Relax every 3 months, only use curling iron no more than twice per week, wrap my hair up every night in a satin scarf. I use Nexxus Botanoil Shampoo or Diametress and Nexxus Ensure conditioner.

It's a lye relaxer. I believe my hair type is 4a. My hair has never been this length before; it is definitely the result of proper maintenance. Sometimes I can't believe that I've actually achieved this much length.
