Protective Styles/Weaves

I'm currently wearing weaves to grow out my relaxer-free hair.

I wear them for about 2-3 months at a time

My wonderful weave stylist is Breon (www.fotki.com/breon)

It's really nice to not have to do my own weaves now and it's a plus that she treats my hair just like I treat my own (I trained her also). I got tired of doing my own hair all the time.

    Hello Reniece, I first found you while looking for weave specialist on line but to my dismay you were not in my town. But I have enjoyed and appreciated being able to follow your hair journey. You are the only person so far who has given tips on tying up hair at night. This is equally as important as products to me. I usually wear my hair straight, so to keep it that way and avoid waves (that would cause me to have to flat iron more often) I wrap it around my head and wear a satin scarf. This is becoming difficult now that I have longer hair, also it seems that the everyday combing/brushing is damaging my hair. It's wonderful to see there are many females on Fotki with long/healthy hair as well and i would love to know how you can protect at night and keep it straight at the same time. Your old method was the bantu knots, but that was for some curl at the ends, any recommdations for me and trying to keep it straight? thank you
