Year THREE 2008-2009

I'm RELAXED. I relaxed my hair at the end of my two year journey. Reasons: It was time for a change, I was satisfied with my journey, it has come to an end and I loved every minute of getting to know "me" I have so much going on in my life right now, the maintenance became over whelming and was adding to my stress I had been reading and doing research and re-visited the reasons I went natural in the first place and thought to myself, life is about changes and change can be good sometimes and to everything there's a season, my season was over. I asked my husband his thoughts and he said "hopefully we have a few more lifetimes here on earth, you can always go back natural if you want to". I agreed Come on in and I'll tell you what I plan to do different this time around!
 
Month 1 - October 2008 - SL

I had my hair professionally relaxed. Before I did, my stylist consulted with me and wanted to know the reasons why. I thought this was awesome, she wanted to understand the psychology behind deciding to relax. I always knew I was in good hands. Mizani Butter Blends was used (the same relaxer used for my text). Throughout my album, I'll detail what was done and what I plan to do differently to keep my hair healthy. No worries, Nainne is not relaxed, nor will she ever be while living with me!

BTW - SL means shoulder length, aiming for APL (Arm Pit Length)

Month 2 - November 2008

I am getting used to my relaxer. I am lurking on so many hair forums. I will come out of hiding soon!!! I have new toys (chi), and am scared (I am almost getting ready to take care of my own hair). Will be using Henna next month, come on in.......

Month 3 - December 2008

I enjoyed my holiday, I relaxed for two weeks as I had a break from grad school along with a vacation from work. I barely have time for life, let alone fotki, so here are updates!! Oh yah, my hair is doing wonderful.
