The padded top was made by Glen Hauser of the Carson Top Shop. Appleton spotlights are a must on all 40’s and early 50’s customs and Sam added a set of Series 112 Aplleton's at the right angle. Wide whites and single bar flippers with ripple rings can be seen up front. Another custom classic ’37 DeSotto ripple bumpers where used both front and rear. At the rear the stock taillights where removed, the fenders smoothed and new very small round taillights positioned at both ends on the bumper guards. The side trim was shortened on the hood to add to the speed boat look. Aftermarket fender skirts for ’39-’40 Ford/Mercury where used. (a standart procedure on early customs)
Sam used the car as daily transportation for some time, then had to sell it to pay for the bills. Nothing is know of its current wherabouts.
