Around 1955 This car was brought to our  high school by Mike Bergman and Mike Fitsgerold it was ruby maroon had not been wrecked yet. They both had Raybans on and I thought to myself, every cool thing must happen in the back seat of that car. Mike kept it on his front lawn a few blocks from the high school so I'd walk by it on the way to school in the days when it was parked there and not at school. This car burned a hole in my brain, years later in the 70's I worked with Clay Jensen and studied all the Valley Custom pictures he had in a 3 ring binder. I was embarrased to ask him how they sectioned the car because I thought I should already know, finally one day I asked Clay how they did the car he gave me the simplest answer, we just moved the front fenders up 5 inches and added 5 inches to the bottom of the front fenders using doner fenders we had to make only one weld. I went to visit a friend in the same time frame and the same tub was stored there in his yard I found out Tony H. owned and tried my best to buy it. Well now I understand that it will be done and shown at the 2014 Roadster Show. Well we'll see, meanwhile I'm building my tribute tub and it's getting skirts, the ruby maroon paint and tooled interior like the Ray Vega tub was. Tony is doing the original Ray Vega tub black and no skirts, guess I'll see at the roadster show. John Williamson
