1954 Thrifty Drug Store Car show LA -
Thrifty Drug Store parking lot show held on Saturday May 15 1954. This store was located at Rodeo Rd ...more and LA Brea in Los Angeles.
The Cars that attended this show and which we have been able to identify in the photos are: The cars we can see in this photo are: Starting at the top row, starting on the left side we can see the nose of Jack Per and Lou Banta’s Model T with track nose in bright red, and unidentified maroon 1929 model A ford with chromed 1932 Ford grille, Bob McNeil’s Chuck Porter built chopped 1932 Ford three window in deep black, Fuzzy Luscari’s forrest green 1940 Ford pick-up and Earl Bruce’s chopped and three windowed 1940 Ford coupe in red. At the middel row we see from left to right. The nose of Luise Bettancourts Barris version of his 1949 Mercury is just showing in front of the yellow and orange version of Jay Johnston’s 1949 Ford, Ray Moore’s 1952 Ford in deep purple body with white top and Bob Hirohata’s 1951 Mercury. The botom row starts with an unidentified deep blue 1952 Ford coupe on the left with Jesse Lopez Barris built 1941 Ford in deep forrest green next to it, next is Chuck DeWitt’s 1950 Ford convertible, and Buster Litton Barris/Cerny’s built 1949 Ford coupe converted to hard top in a deep copper coke color. Jack Nedercutt’s 1952 Olds in maroon and gold by Barris and Don Carroll’s, Gaylord built 1949 Ford convertibleand last in the row is Tommy Thornburgh’s 1947 Studebaker by Barris with its dark blue Carson top. - Album was created 6 months ago and modified 6 months ago
