My step-father use to drive this truck and hauled the "Sahara" around to do promo appearances. He also was the guy who actually drove the Sahara in the movie Cinderfella. Still my favorite custom.

    Watson and Evil Knievel
I read that Larry did some work for Evel knievel back in 1969-70 and this proves that at least he striped his Rolls! Any info and or photos of Evels bikes being painted would make my yr! Either the Triumph or American Eagle bikes he would of done. Hit me up on face book. Barry Muller, I have his face as my profile pic. Thanks!

    Watson and Bill DeCarr 2
The "rainbow black" '66 Corvette was my car. I worked for Larry and he always used my Vette for car shows, this paint job was the last one and it won Winternationals. My car was previously painted gunmetal gray with black fogging and then the famous Pink Merano Pearl that was in the Sports Arena show with the Lime Merano Pearl Gullwing Mercedes belonging to Jack Laird. Larry was a great friend and he will be missed. So many memories of working with him at the Downey location on Firestone Blvd and seeing him after so many years when he came to Paso Robles for West Coast Kustoms.

If I remember correctly That was Manny's Speedster and we called it gunmetal gray, It had a charcoal metallic base with blue and red Murano pearl and I think Larry threw in some cosmic blue toner.,Manny was proud as hell about it and I was proud to have help him prep it!
I've been in Florida for the past 30 years and would like to get in touch with Larry just to find out about about some mutual friends of ours. I only worked for him a couple of years but really liked him and learned a lot from him.. Had to quit because of PTSD problems from Nam.
We entered that in thr LA convention show I think it was early 70's.We got best of show with a vette owned by a guy named Wayne. Also met my first wife sitting in that car.(but don't hold that against anyone) lol Back then I was known as Cowboy.
