cluded with this car...the book shows the car from the rear in a shot taken at a car show in Indiana in 1961. I have also made contact with the original builder of the car...he sent me the pix of the car shown from the front...that was taken at a car show in 1959...he actually bought the car brand new in 1956 at the ripe old age of 14! After customizing the car for the next three years or so...it was also shown at many car shows in Indiana...he subsequently sold the Chevy to the guy who showed it in 1961.

Today the car is largely unchanged...it has the same 1958 Chevy headlights, custom grill and early Ford front turn signals. The louvered hood is still there, the rounded rear corners and the molded front end. The second owner.. Charles Gibson added the 1958 Chevy style roof scoop...and its still there of course. The '56 Packard taillights are still on it as is the shaved trunk, custom rear bumper with wagon center section and the cool exhaust coming through the bumper ends. The starter solenoid mounted on the trunklid that is used to pop the trunk open was installed over 50 years ago...is still on the car and works just fine. The '61 Impala steering wheel is also shown in the Pat Ganahl book's picture and it is still in the car today.
