AA Flight 383 Crash - This has become a very special gallery. I am very surprised by the number of comments and responses I have received about the 383 tragedy since first visiting the crash site in 2005. It has been so overwhelming that we have constructed two websites dedicated to the major Northern Kentucky airliner crashes that occurred in the 1950s and 1960s. For additional information visit the Aviation Memorial Grove Official Website: http://flightmemorial.vpweb.com/?prefix=www . This gallery will continue to be updated.

On Sunday November 8, 2015, the Flight 383/128 Memorial Group conducted a hike to the crash site of AA Flight 383 on the 50th anniversary of the accident. We were pleased to guide Joan Horn, Linda Rathbun and her husband, Roy, to the former debris field. Both Joan and Linda lost their fathers {Edward Fasold and Forrest Rathbun} on the flight as a thunderstorm moved across the approach path to Runway 18 at Cincinnati on that fateful evening in the late fall of 1965.

On Saturday December 5, 2015, I had the pleasure of escorting the son {Creig Matthieson} and 2 daughters {Donna Matthieson Bailey and Marilyn Matthieson} of Christain H. Matthieson to the American Airlines Flight 383 debris field in Northern Kentucky. Christian was a victim of the accident on November 8, 2015.

On Sunday July 31, 2016, we escorted Lisa Rathbun-Read and her family to the crash site of American Airlines Flight 383. Lisa's father, Forrest Rathbun, perished in the accident on November 8, 1965.
