Speedweeks was the theme for the 17th Annual Auto Modelers Group (AMG) NNL held in Milwaukee, WI on Saturday, April 18th. The Winnebago Auto Modelers club display depicted "50 Years at Daytona". The seven and a half foot long display featured an area showing the building of the 31 degree, 2.5 mile track, and 5 groups of cars each representing a decade of racing at Daytona. The diorama represents turn 3, and features scratch-built construction equipment, stock cars from existing kits, resin bodies and aftermarket decal manufacturers. Work was started on this display Labor day weekend 2008 and was finished up on Friday, April 17th 2009. This diorama won Best Club Display at the Milwaukee NNL. This base is currently looking for a new home.
