Started with Duncan Barbour in 1963, the Garage was in D & W Henderson's shipyard where the waverley was built across the kelvin river from hendersons in inglis shipyard where the transport muesum is now. His 1st truck was a 5 ton Bedford TK. At the age of 20 he got his 1st artic, it was also a Bedford TK with a Leyland engine.
In 1966 at the age of 23 he did his 1st Continental trip to Bonnieres France with Singer sewing machine parts.
In 1971 Billy left Barbour's to work abroad and returned again in 1974 and has worked up until 2006
