Venice seemed to be our shortest visit on our trip. It was a beautiful place. I wasn't really into St. Marks Square with all the pigeons, but have heard how wonderful it is at night. I definitely will go back. We wondered how people move there... They remodel by boat... Can you imagine? will go back. We wondered how people move there... They remodel by boat... We spent one day in Dubrovnik. The city is surrounded by a wall and is on the water. Another beautiful place. We also took the bus out about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to a quiet little area to have lunch with our group. I was shocked to see them carrying several half of a lamb down for cooking. Almost made me have pasta. lunch with our group. I was shocked to see them carrying several half of a lamb down for cooking. Almost made me have pasta. - photos: 61 (211 MB)

Least favorite place on our trip. When you think of Athens you think of history, but we had to drive out to it. Everyone smokes! The ruins were under rennovation, so some of pictures have scaffoldings in them. We also didn't get to get up close and personal. Our tour was about 3 hours and that was plenty ~ Next! scaffoldings in them. We also didn't get to get up close and personal. Can you say "Statue of David" in real life? It was awesome! Went to Cathedral Square and saw Duomo, The Baptistery, and Giotto's Bell Tower which goes back to the 14th century. Saw the copy of David in Signoria Square and the famous "old bridge" Ponte Vecchio. in Signoria Square and the famous "old bridge" Ponte Vecchio. - photos: 68 (250 MB)

We were lucky and had 2 days in Rome, however that wasn't enough. We saw so much ~ Vatican City, St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel. We also went to the Trevi Fountain and made our wishes, Borghese Park, the Janiculum Hill, Castle Sant'Angelo, Circus Maxiumus. AND the Colosseum, just the exterior. We also went to the Spanish Steps, peaked through the key hole, and enjoyed the Pantheon and more. made our wishes, Borghese Park, the Janiculum Hill, Castle Sant'Angelo, Circus Maxiumus. Took a ferry to the isle of Capri, Augustus Gardens, Faraglioni of Capri and Marina Piccola, lunch in Sorrento where the legend states that it was the sirens of Sorrento who attempted to lure Ulysses onto the rocks, and then onto Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. The last time Mt. Vesuvius erupted was 1944. It is still considered an active volcano today. onto the rocks, and then onto Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. The last time Mt. Every 71 seconds, Alzheimer’s affects another person. This cruel disease must be stopped. Please join us as we work for the day that Alzheimer’s is but a memory.
