A land were Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) and Pacha Papa (Moon) are still given thanks and offerings. A place of Shamans, and native Indian tribes. You can feel the energy when walking through the old cable stone streets, it is another universe all together.
Peru, is a god place to lose yourself and find yourself again, hopefully with a little deeper understanding. After all, once outside Lima (capital,) you are in the land of the Inca, transformed to a time of science, discovery, and ancient rituals.

If you ever watched Northern Exposure, this town is MUCH smaller than Cicily Alaska! It does have one main street :-)
The glacier DWARFS you, and you feel like a spec of dust in the universe, as we really are!

make sure you don't miss hiking on the Glacier with a guide! At first you feel like a new born mountain goat with crampons! but 5 minuets into it, you are hopping and jumping and the guides, and the guides need to keep you inline before you kill yourself falling into a craves!

If you love the Sea, Coffee, Beach Parties, Cold water Scuba Diving, and Adventure, you must visit!!! Just don't expect people to follow your watch, LOL It won't happen!
My buss drive stooped the bus, got off and had a cup of coffee with someone in the middle of the route, as I was late, lol trying to get to a dive shop on the other side of the island.

There is nothing like flying to a place you never been before renting a car and heading out of the tourist areas. The Sea of Cortez is known for it mild weather and whales and dolphins had there to give birth. While Kayaking we would spots whole schools of dolphins and whale mothers and their new borns :-)

I can only imagine how beautiful this place is in the summer, although laying in the hot springs while it's cold outside is amazing! It must be something about the mountains and the serenity of the place, when you meditate in this amazing location, you really experience Nirvana!

A business trip doesn't always have to be boring! Get a two door car, find the longest and most winding road to the office, and stay over the weekend. It is an exercise of discovery, not only of a new location, but of yourself!

This is a compilation of six different trips I took to the Islands since 2004. It truly an amazing, unpredictable ( weather wise ) magical location. It's on Lake Superior close to the border of Wisconsin and Minnesota. It is the smallest US national park.

Sometimes when you get lost, you get lucky! We stumbled on Saxon Harbor 20 years ago. It is a small harbor on Lake Superior Flaked on one side by an endless sand beach crossing a Native American reservation ( I found that out the hard way! ) and rocky shoreline on the apposite side.

Door county has multiple personalities. The first, a serene nature, a homage to a time long past of farms, and little towns. the other of a upper class retreat with luxury homes, five star restaurants, yacht clubs and all the supporting glam! I guess we can call it the Midwest version of Marta's Vineyard :-)
