PROFILE:
SEPT 2005 UPDATE:
It is me, Cheryl..
formally Cheeseymomma....now DuckyChickenLady.
I just came out of a horrible summer...no ducks left, no chickens (until a few days ago)..no geese...no goat. We sold EVERYTHING. We were going to be moving, & after 3 flopped offers ...we have decided to stay!
I am waiting till the spring to get some eggs to hatch out some ducks, & geese...& maybe more chickens.
here is a pic of the first additions to our new fowl family.
These are Wyandottes. I got 3 hens & a rooster a week ago..they are 12 weeks old & very pretty.
HISTORY:
MARCH 2003
CHERYL BAXTER
AKA: CHEESEMOMMA/DUCKYCHICKENLADY
Hello, my name is Cheryl Baxter
I live near a rural town called Pakenham in Ontario, Canada.
I just turned 33..stay at home mom to 11yo- Amanda, 9 year old- Joshua, 7 yo- Jeremy, 4&1/2 yo-Jamie-Lynn & just turned 3 yo- Noah.
The reason my e-mail is cheeseymomma@aol.com is because we have goats (2 does & 1 buck,alpine-boer cross)
& I make goatsmilk cheese. (not so much since the ducks came into my life though!!!)
I have 11 ducks.
3 Adult Pekins..Jake, Tinkerbell & Lucky
2 pairs of Rouens..Chap & Puddles, Chuck & Maybel
2 Muscovies ..Tarzan&Jane,
& a new pair of grey calls ..Pebbles & BamBam.
(& as of May 5th 2003, we will have a pair of penciled runners..DiDi & Nike)
Oh yeah. I am the one with "Stevie" the blind duck. Pretty sure she is a "she".
They are so much fun & they keep me busy aside all the other "stuff" I do!
We have quite the big pond on 15 acres of land. Which I now, no longer use
due to the mink & fox deaths to a lot of my flock!
We also have Silkies (chickens & roosters), egg-layer chickens & chicks, meat chicks & 1 rooster, Guy.
3 dogs & 2 barn cats (Barney..original eh?) (& Meeko..who came into our lives
Summer, 2002.)
My sweet man's name is Peter & we are sooooo blessed for all that God has given us!! I have another e-mail addy noahsarkunltd@aol.com incase anyone cares. We have lived in the country for 3 years now after being "suburban" people for so long & loving it!
Love this site, thanks for being here to help with our pets!
