Well it has been 10 months into my journey and what a wonderful journey it is, I have arrived now people are stopping me all the time to find out how long I have been locing and who maintains my locs, it is a wonderful feeling. My journey continues . . .
Well I think I am going to end this album with month 11 and have an entire album dedicated to my locversary. I will probably make a trip to the loctician who started my journey and get my relatch done as well as some permanent loc jewelry added. Thank you to all of you who have given me words of encouragement through out my journey and who are continuing to inspire me. My journey continues....

This album will follow my fourth year of locing. I have been loced officially for three years. I began this journey 01-03-2007. It has been a wonderful journey. For those of you who have been with me from the start, offering words of inspiration, thank you. For those of you who are new to my albums, welcome. Well I have been on my journey for 3.5 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Nothing much new is happening I am still growing not taking as many pictutes as I did when this journey began but I am sure I will have many pics for you next month, vacation time. Looking mback on my amazing loc journey it has been all ups. I can not really think of a bad moment I have had with my locs. I hope that anyone who is considering locs just does it. I am looking forward to year 2 and sharing it with all of you.

Cookie has reached 4 months in her journey and decided to cut off her permed ends, yay. They look a lot better.

I began my journey with rocs locs ( named after my loctician's sister) by a master loctician in Raleigh. I decided to keep my permed ends because I did not want to go through the "ugly" stage. The more I had to maintain those two different textures of hair the more I wanted those permed ends off. I decided to cut off my permed ends at my 4 week relatching. I have discovered that there is no ugly stage in locking. I am in love with my hair and my journey. Feel free to browse my album and leave comments.

Month 4 brought about changes in my life. I was in a car accident on May 9, 2007. All thanks to God for it not for Him I would not be here. Walked away with minor bumps and bruises, my car was not so fortunate, it was totaled. My journey continues......
Thanks to all of you that showed me love, your words of encouragement got me through May. Month 5 to me has not brought about much change in my locs but I have posted the pics. We will see what month 6 (July) has in store for me. My journey continues...

Well month 8 is upon me and I am truly pleased with my locs and their progress. To all of my Fotki friends thank you for stopping by with your words of encouragement throughout this process. My 11 year old daughter has decided to begin her journey to locing her journey began Feb. 7, 2007

Shyheem has decided he wants to start his locing process. So I decided to start them usng comb twists due to his short hair.

Jhy's braidlocks. Jhy is 3 years old and was born with a head full of thick hair. Unlike most babies he did not shed much hair during his 1st year so we decided to let it grow. The older he got the less he wanted his hair done so I decided to lock it because his favorite saying when someone says they are going to cut his hair is "Me no get no hair cut". :-)
