The fellas at Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop held their garage party on a very cold February night....single digits outside....but the atmosphere and sheer number of people crammed into the place made it a lot warmer. As we're local, Matt & I decided to cruise on up to Greenfield Center and check it out.

This was the third Musclepalooza event at Lebanon Valley Dragway, in West Lebanon NY....'halfway between Albany and Pittsfield,' as the ads say....the event was sponsored by Hemmings' Muscle Machines magazine, which is published in nearby Bennington Vermont.

My mom works for a local nursing home, and I volunteer for their annual benefit car show. I get to use my model building skills on a couple of the 'best of' awards for the event.

The 4th annual benefit show was held this weekend at the Ann Lee Nursing Home in Albany. My mom works at the home, and I volunteer for the show. Between working the car gate and manning the grill, I was able to snap off a few pictures of cars in attendance.
The weather early on was damp, but the rain stopped and the sky got very bright and blue....and 53 people thought it was a nice enough day to enter a car show.

This event is held every July in Utica NY, at the Munson Williams-Proctor Institute. Everything from concours pre-20's autos to hot rods and muscle cars are welcome, and there is a pretty large model contest there as well.

This event, part of the Saratoga Automobile Museum's summer lawn show schedule, featured hot rods, customs, and specialty/kit cars.

The Electric City GTO Club's 2006 was originally planned for September 3rd, but rain made them move it to the 4th. Turnout was understandably lower than the 2005 show, but it was still a good time for those in attendance.

I was able to attend the second day of the Goodguys East Coast Rod & Custom Nationals. It was impossible to photograph every car, so I simply shot those that caught my eye.

Nice weather prevailed for this 5th annual benefit show, and the turnout was once again knocking on the door of our record. Approximately 74 vehicles of all shapes and sizes were entered this year.

For those of us on the show staff, the days following the event were bittersweet. As the state announced earlier this year plans to close the Ann Lee home and move the residents to a new facility, we knew this would be the last year for the event.

In the interest of time I loaded the pics as a whole batch rather than individually; some are out of order, some are doubles, and none have captions for now....I'll try to remedy that shortly.

Yet another installment of the Hemmings show, which grows every year. Fans were treated to acres of show entrant vehicles, as well as lots of dragstrip competition.

The Dutchess County Fairgrounds was cold and damp, thanks to the unpredictable northeast weather, but a lot of folks with nice stuff to show and sell sowed up anyway.

This year I made it down to the Dutchess County Fairground for Saturday's activities, and I shot pics of lots of cool stuff.

After missing the '07 event, Matt and I picked up his brother Mike and headed to Greenfield Center for the '08 event.

Mike Manno's blown flatty '32 was there, and George Poteet's track-nosed '34 coupe was really progressing nicely at this point.
