Very cool dancer and scene but do you see how the flash has bounced of the white ceiling and illuminated much of the dance floor?

.........if you are wanting to isolate the dancer in her environment of dark club scene....the use of that snoot would help achieve that effect!

You can get really cool "Club Scene" type shots with this light and a low to medium flash output. Essentially you would use this slow shutter speed of 1/30, decrease your ISO to or a little under 1600 and an aperture of around f/4 [this is experimental and will take some shots to narrow it down... depending on your "club" lighting situation and amount of background you choose to show] and camera WB set for daylight/5500k. A low output will result in a quick/short pulse from the flash which will "freeze" any action with that illuminating pulse in daylight true color. Because the shutter is open longer than the pulse, [your exposure is longer leaving the shutter open a bit after the pulse] you will get cool people blur and deep warm colors from the club lighting!!! Be sure to hold the camera steady as you can through the entire exposure [ don't drop the camera from your eye immediately after the flash]. You CAN ALSO ~MOVE~ the camera during that exposure time when the flash hasn't fired and you would get REALLY cool streaks of blur and dancing lights!

With that said, I would recommend using a "snoot" on your flash as that will narrow/limit the flash beam to the center of your image and no spill will fill the dark club scene!
