The Walnut Ridge Bobcats hosted the Salem Greyhounds Friday evening at Sexton Field during their homecoming game. The Bobcats defeated the Greyhounds with a score of 12 to 7. Prior to the game, the players from 1957, 1958 and 1959 was honored and introduced to the crowd in attendance. The Walnut Ridge Bobcat Pride Band provided half time entertainment with several selections from Michael Jackson's hits.

Thursday evening, November 5, 2009, the Power Puff football games were held at Sexton Field in Walnut Ridge following a postponement from Tuesday when the games were called off due to a power outage when a transformer blew up turning all the lights on the field out.

Friday, November 6, 2009, the Augusta Red Devils were hosted to a game by the Walnut Ridge Bobcats at Sexton Field. The Red Devils defeated the Bobcats with a score of less than 14 points difference.
